a small village in rural High Suffolk
Brundish Village Hall comprises a main hall measuring approximately 30ft by 18 ft and a smaller committee room suitable for meetings or hire as a private office. The whole building was redecorated in 2016 . It has oil-fired central heating and everything is on the same level to facilitate disabled access. Fast wireless Broadband internet access is available throughout the building, courtesy of FramBroadband (www.frambroadband.com).
The hall is equipped with 50 new stacking chairs and a variety of tables to provide individual tables and chairs for Quiz Nights or theatre-style.
We are fully equipped for film shows and conference-style presentations with an electrically-operated screen, ceiling-mounted projector, stereo sound system, DVD, Blu-Ray and CD players and a hearing loop. Please see the Cinema Evenings page for latest details. We can also connect laptops, tablets and smartphones to the display via connections to the ceiling-mounted projector. There is an OHP for use with transparencies and a flip chart with easel.
It should be noted that as long as Covid 19 restrictions are in place the Main Hall is limited to a maximum of 12 to 15 persons within at any one time, this may be reduced if tables are set out for use to a possible 8 to 10, this is to maintain a suitable social distancing for the users
The committee room is ideal for meetings of up to about 12 people. It is also available for hire as a private office for local businesses. Due to the very limited space with this room it is no longer available for use during the Covid 19 restrictions.
The kitchen has a modern electric range cooker, refrigerator and microwave. There are plenty of cups, saucers, plates, cutlery, wine glasses, tumblers and water jugs, together with an electric kettle and a large electrically-heated water urn. Running hot water is provided by our oil-fired central heating boiler.
Access to the kitchen is being restricted only to any persons using kitchen for food preparation, no others users are pemittted entry unless personally invited by the hirer.
The toilets are bright and modern and there are separate disabled facilities. These are now limited to 1 person access at a time.
